The aim of the exam is to confirm students have the knowledge of the field, they can actively use modern methods and acquired essential specialist skills, knowledge and competence that they may employ in their future profession or further study.

Content
|
The subject is enrolled by students who wish to complete their studies in the Bachelor of Humanities program in the relevant academic year. It is an oral exam that takes place in front of a committee. The course itself and other requirements are determined by the Study and Examination Regulations of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, and the details are published by the guaranteeing departments via websites and Courseware.
During the preparation for the bachelor's exam, the student has the opportunity to take advantage of individual or group consultations with the guarantors of individual disciplines, which relate to the areas of the exam.
The final state exam consists of three mandatory parts:
1) defense of bachelor's thesis
2) Philosophy for Humanities
3) History for Humanities
and one mandatory optional part:
a) Humanities and cultural heritage
b) Humanities and information society
c) Humanities and foundations of social sciences
